The first-ever hackathon at London Tech Week — a one-day, high-intensity innovation sprint on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at the International Convention Centre, co-located with Europe's biggest tech event. Teams of PhD candidates, university spinout founders, and software engineers work on real-world national challenges across three tracks: Defence & Cyber Security, Health & Life Sciences, and Education & Skills. Track leads reveal the specific challenges at the start of the day. Teams build, prototype and pitch with hands-on support from technologists, policymakers and investors. Winners receive government-involvement prize ceremony, platform showcase across the London Tech Week media, and fast-tracked investor conversations with VCs and CVCs actively scouting ideas.
